The Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is administered by the USDA and is a meals subsidy program for low-income families. States require specific approval to participate in this program as well as staff training. If you are not currently on the CACFP, but wish to learn more, start here.

Meal & Attendance Capture

Track attendance and quickly capture meals using either or both methods...

  • pre-printed paper rosters (for computer entry afterwards)
  • mobile device (phone or tablet)
Using the mobile option, "electronic point-of-service meal capture", or "ePos" for short, sponsors can restrict meal entry to the same day, or even precise meal times using the mobile option. Later a report can be run to ensure all meals were captured electronically during the meal time.

Meal Nutrition Planning (NEW Meal Patterns)

Meal creation is made easy using drop-down lists of Food Buying Guide items. Simply select items for the food groups of each meal!

The minimum serving amount is automatically determined for each age group. Cycle menus quickly and ensure each meal served is reimbursable. ChildWatch includes nearly 600 USDA-compliant menu items (including CN label items) to get started quickly, but you can customize to meet your needs.

ChildWatch will process your meal & menu data in just a few clicks. Each claim is checked against the USDA rules (configurable). Ineligible meals are automatically disallowed and included in the claim results. Reporting details include state summary information, meal disallowances with reason description, and financial statements.

ChildWatch will automatically email notifications of important events such as outdated forms & participant training, child income level changes and more. From the participant's location, new forms may be printed, signed by parents and submitted to the sponsor.
